“Hanul Ancuței” – Cooking Team Building by GoodStory at Alma Resort Brăila
27 May 2025 · Alma Resort · Brăila
Context
On 27 May,
we organized a cooking-based team building at Alma Resort Brăila, starting from
a clear client request: a hands-on experience where participants could cook
together in a real kitchen.
After
exploring all available options and holding detailed discussions with the
venue, we identified legal and safety restrictions that made access to the
restaurant kitchen impossible. Instead of abandoning the concept, we quickly
adapted it and proposed an alternative that preserved the core idea: cooking
together, outdoors.
Objective
To deliver
an authentic team building experience focused on collaboration, the joy of
cooking together, and real involvement, in a relaxed setting, even under
unpredictable weather conditions.

Activity
Flow
The day
began with ingredient preparation and salad-making indoors, in a calm and
well-organized environment. Later, participants moved outside for the grilling
activity.
Although the
weather was unstable at first, the rain stopped just as the outdoor cooking
began, and the atmosphere shifted completely. Participants cooked, sang,
danced, and collaborated naturally, without pressure or rigid competition.
A defining
element of the experience was its purpose: the food prepared during the
activity was donated to a local church, to be shared with people in need. This
gesture added depth and meaning to the day, and participant involvement became
genuine and heartfelt.
Results
The team
building delivered:
a real cooking experience,
adapted to context and constraints
natural collaboration and strong
participant engagement
a warm, relaxed atmosphere
filled with positive energy
the satisfaction of contributing
to a meaningful community cause
very positive feedback regarding
organization, flexibility, and adaptability
The event
concluded with accommodation at Alma Resort, allowing participants to unwind
after a full and meaningful day.
The Story
The team
building at Alma Resort Brăila was about adaptability, people, and the joy of
doing simple things together. We turned a limitation into an opportunity and
created an experience that brought the team closer—not only through cooking,
but through the act of giving.
For
GoodStory, it was another project that reinforced the value of flexibility,
human connection, and purpose-driven experiences.
